Tea House Theatre was founded in July 2011 by owner and director Harry Iggulden.
Our tea house by day transforms beautifully into a theatre by night, and we host a number of monthly events:
The Great Debaters Club
(first and third Wednesday of the month)
Words Away
(selected Mondays of the month)
Paper Tiger Poetry
(last Friday of the month)
SE11 Sessions
(last Saturday of the month)
Vauxhall Tuneless Choir
(second and fourth Wednesday of the month)
Please visit our What's On Page for exact dates of these and all upcoming events.
In July 2020 we have opened our doors again as a completely brand new Tea House Theatre.
We have repainted walls, oiled the floors, put in a brand new counter and bookcase and of course the new, extended kitchen is making our chef very happy.
Have you noticed three bee hives at Tea House roof? Yes, now we have our own Tea House Honey which is available for you to buy and take home. We also serve our teas with our own Tea House Honey. Isn’t it amazing?!
Another great news are - that we have launched eTea! Which means that now you can order our loose leaf teas directly from us and get it delivered to your door at no delivery charge!
Working from home? Work from Tea House Theatre!
We know how depressing it can be when you’re stuck with your work everyday in the same room. Or how hard it is sometimes to get in the ‘work’ mood while being at home.
But don't worry, we’ve got you covered! We have a perfect spot right here for you, with speedy, unlimited free WiFi, a table right by the plug socket and what’s more exiting - we do a “Starving Artist” meal deal, where you get free Tomato & Basil Soup with the special of the day.
So pop in today to do some work, or reserve you spot by clicking on BOOK NOW or by calling us on 02072074585
We are dog friendly 🐾
Never leave your four legged friend behind. We love our furry friends.
We will make sure your pet will get a bottomless water bowl and a treat!
However, please bear in mind, we have two Theatre Cats. Black and white cat, Maggie, is our real boss and her brother Gladstone, sweet Gladstone. They are pretty cool with sharing their house, unless Maggie is in the mood to tease a pooch.
